FAQ:
What time is worship?
10:00 AM each Sunday morning!
What are your services like?
We are a liturgical congregation. "Liturgy" comes from ancient Greek and means "work of the people". As a liturgical church, we recognize that our worship services aren't just about the pastor or the pianist or the worship leaders--it's about all of us joining together to lift our voices and praise to God! Our services may vary from week to week, but they follow a set pattern that has been used by Christians for hundreds of years. You don't need to know anything before you get here--just come in the door and there will be a bulletin outlining the service and friendly faces to answer any questions you might have!
What about communion?
God is the host of this table; all are welcome. Communion is served on the first and third Sundays of each month as well as on special Sundays. Communion is distributed in a variety of ways; please ask the ushers for more information. We offer gluten-free communion and grape juice as well as wine; please feel free to make your preferences known to the people serving communion.
What about my kids?
We love children. They are warmly welcomed during worship. Although there are rooms to take noisy kiddos just outside of the sanctuary if that makes parents more comfortable or if children need a less stimulating space, we hope that you will feel comfortable keeping your children with you during worship. In order to facilitate this, activity bags are available at the entrance. We encourage you to consider sitting near the front so that children can fully see and participate in worship, and ask questions as they come up. Pastor Annela is a mother of a small child and can preach through anything, and it is a delight and joy to hear young voices in worship. God put the wiggle in children and we love to see their lights shine!
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable! You'll see people dressed up and dressed down, people who are dolled up for church and people who have come directly from work or travel. God loves you as you are!
