This is the Season of Easter
"Alleluia! The Lord has risen! The Lord has risen indeed! Alleluia!"
It is with these words that we traditionally celebrate the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday. But Easter is not just a day; rather, it is a season in the church calendar. Also known as Eastertide, the Easter season lasts 50 days until the beginning of Pentecost.
At Trinity Lutheran Church, we begin this celebration with an Easter Sunrise communion service, held at 6:45 AM at Eureka Reservoir. Our youth are preparing a traditional Easter morning breakfast, which they serve in our Fellowship Hall beginning at 8:30 AM. And we follow breakfast with a traditional Easter service of holy communion at our normal hour of worship, 10:00 AM.
